The Inside Voices project seeks to elevate the voices of the incarcerated (ie: those who are “on the inside”) by promoting their art and writing to those outside the walls of their confinement. The African continent is the inspiration behind many of these works, and they can be seen by clicking See the Art. To do this, an event will be held on April 23, 2022, at Oloman Cafe in Hamtramck, Michigan; for more information, please see Gallery Event. In the process, we will aim to raise funds for the purpose of aiding families of those incarcerated to more smoothly transition back into society. These funds will specifically go to the Youth Justice Fund, an organization that advocates for better treatment of formerly incarcerated individuals. More information about this can be found when clicking Partners or Shop.
